What will you be doing? 

 

As IT Release Train Engineer you primary responsibility will be to govern the release process for an Agile Release Train,  working with diverse teams who drive our delivery success. You need to have experience managing outsourced partners both onshore and offshore and enjoy that diverse challenge, additionally you need to have experience managing Scrum teams in a distributed working model.


Release Management is central to the way we deliver IT and is one of the most exciting transformations at Vodafone today. This role enables you to deliver huge benefits to the world's leading mobile communications company, whilst enabling large scale Agile Transformation.


You'll think "big picture" and continue to transform Release Management into something that will be a best in class framework of delivery for our products and services. You'll use your experience gained in a large commercial organisation to inspire, influence, get people on board and lead change especially with our senior management and executive community.


You will facilitate the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Release Train (ART) processes and program execution, escalate impediments, manage risk, and help drive program-level continuous improvement

Who are we looking for ?

 

  • You will have a strong commercial experience working in a Scaled Agile or SCRUM environment as RTE or Release Manager with a minimum of 5 teams. 
  • You will have experience with launching Value Streams.
  • You will have expertise in project and programme management.
  • You will have expertise in dependency and risk management.
  • You will have exposure to industry leading technologies - COTS products, Java/J2EE based solutions, Web Services, Web APIs, and microservices, SQL and NoSQL based solutions, Cloud deployments, containers, and continuous integration, SOAP and RESTful services. 
  • You will have exposure to DevOps concepts
  • Experience of working on Jira & Azure Devops Tool
