As a Location Independent Worker, for operational reasons you may be required to perform your duties, either temporarily or permanently, from any of our offices or customer sites within a reasonable geographic area of your home address. Our “Office in a Box” home working kit will provide you with everything you need, no matter where you are.

What you’ll do

Are you passionate about shaping cloud strategy and driving digital transformation? Vodafone is seeking a visionary Cloud Technical Lead to guide a major customer on their journey across both Private and Public Cloud environments. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where your expertise will directly influence business outcomes and technology innovation.

  • Strategic Influence: Be the trusted advisor for a key enterprise customer, shaping their cloud roadmap and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Hybrid Cloud Challenge: Tackle complex challenges across both private and public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, OpenStack), designing integrated solutions that maximize value.
  • Innovation & Autonomy: Lead cloud adoption, migration, and optimization initiatives, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Vodafone’s internal teams and the customer’s senior stakeholders, bridging technical and business perspectives.


The Cloud Technical Lead primary responsibility is to provide strategic oversight, advisory and guidance to the customer technology leadership team as part of their overall cloud transformation programme, ensuring activities align with overall strategic goals for them. The successful candidate will own and lead the architectural strategy. The facets of the role will support a technology solution required to provide market-leading service to that customer. This is a customer-facing role, working within a large managed service account this person will explain and present complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to the highest at a standard expected of an experienced senior consultant.



Who you are

  • Excellent customer facing skills and ability to professionally discuss the benefits of a wide range of strategies to internal and external C level execs.
  • A detailed understanding of cloud architectures, both public and private. Typically, will have accreditation, or be in progress to obtain, for key public cloud vendors such as AWS and Azure.
  • Extensive experience in IT strategy, cloud transformation, or enterprise architecture within highly regulated environments. 
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior executives. 
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, IT governance, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and advise on the impact of emerging technologies. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing at all levels of an organization.
