The Pricing team is at the forefront of enabling sales to engage with customers. Team members become subject matter experts with an unrivalled breadth of knowledge across our product portfolio. Commercial Pricing sits at the core of our marketing approach and therefore we are uniquely placed to influence and drive customer value/business growth.
What you’ll do
Through understanding the market, set the standard pricing and promotions for our proposition portfolio. Ensuring that these prices are market based, profitable, easy to bill and easy for the sales team to use.
Setting the list price for our products and propositions and creating a commercial governance structure around these to allow for pricing flexibility where required within the sales cycle. Supporting the Commercial Trading teams with promotional pricing support which enables the business to drive the required sale growth in line with budget expectations is another key facet to the role.
The Commercial Pricing Manager is accountable for driving the thinking for the price positioning constantly checking the market relevance of our pricing and ensuring that they are commercially viable and aligned with the strategic direction of the business. Ensuring that all quoting tools reflect the pricing strategy designed to drive propositional uptake and reflect the latest cost base.
- Market pricing strategy – collaborating with the relevant Product, Propositions and Trading Managers develop and set pricing strategy for identified products.
- Price positioning – conduct detailed competitor price positioning analysis to ensure that products are priced to win in the market.
- Product profitability - ensure recommended pricing meets the required profitability levels/is built on up-to-date cost bases.
- Price performance – deliver monthly KPI reports, analysing pricing trends and identifying risks/opportunities.
- Pricing Promotions - formulate and agree promotional activity with the trading teams; completing analysis to present to the Business for appropriate sign off highlighting key risks and opportunities and actions to mitigate.

- Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills
