VodafoneThree - IPA Test Specialist
Location: Newbury + Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Security Clearance: This position requires the ability & willingness to undergo and obtain a Secure Vetting (SC) clearance.

What you’ll do
Join VodafoneThree’s IPA Testing team and play a vital role in protecting our people, customers, and business. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to and help shape the delivery of our security mission, supporting both the department’s strategic objectives and VodafoneThree’s wider goals and values.
As IPA Test Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that new capabilities are fully tested, meet operational user needs, comply with regulatory requirements, and achieve the highest quality standards before release. Working within a DevOps environment, you will oversee the planning, execution, and governance of testing activities, helping to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle and supporting the continuous improvement of automated testing and CI/CD processes.
You will collaborate with fast-paced, cross-functional delivery teams, using your knowledge provide assurance that solutions are robust, compliant, and fit for purpose.
This role offers the opportunity to influence critical security outcomes, drive quality excellence, and contribute to an area of the business that is essential to VodafoneThree’s ability to operate and serve its customers with confidence.
Please note, the successful candidate will need to be Security Cleared to SC (Security Check) level
- Define and implement Test approaches aligned to business requirements, delivery plans, and operational needs.
- Ensure Test activity is governed effectively with clear entry and exit criteria.
- Define and execute test scenarios based on business and operational requirements.
- Execute end to end Testing across multiple environments, APIs, tools, and data mechanisms.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using programmable frameworks within AWS based environments.
- Ensure Test considerations feed into automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor, analyse, and report test results, defects, and performance issues.
- Ensure defects are logged, prioritised, and resolved in line with agreed criteria.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Operations, and end users to validate requirements.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Who you are
- Proven experience executing Testing in complex technical delivery environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross functional teams.
- Experience operating in regulated and security sensitive environments.
- Strong understanding of systems under test and their operational context.
- Strong working knowledge of IPA compliance systems
- ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Certificate (desirable)
