What you’ll do
The Senior HR Services Manager role is accountable for managing a team of HR Services professionals responsible for providing remote support services (via email & webchat) offering advice and consultancy support on the interpretation of standardised HR processes and plans to employees, managers and the business.
Key accountabilities:
- Full people management responsibility for a team of HR shared services professionals, both onshore & offshore. Defining team-operating standards, sets direction and enables performance of the team.
- Influence decisions and contribute to the functional policies, processes and practices to ensure alignment to global processes and best practices;
- Negotiate internally and influences senior stakeholders and line managers to obtain approval of business cases on the improvement and changes of systems processes and policy;
- Manages the team to effectively assist and advise Vodafone employees and managers and deliver best practice HR support to our people.
- Proactively build knowledge and competence internally and externally to identify and deliver new services and processes;
- Apply complex evaluative judgement to lead the team in solving complex or novel situations, delivering changes across HR shared services when necessary and driving automation.
- Leading a range of HR Services including Payroll, Vetting, Policy Integration, Employee Experience and Operational Delivery through VOIS.
- Lead the HR Services Transformation influencing global roadmaps to improve customer experience through process re-engineering.
Who you are
- A technical expert with a sound understanding of HR processes and operations with ability to meet agreed KPIs and service levels.
- Knowledge and understanding of global and local HR systems and the HR capabilities they support.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to effectively manage Group dynamic and credibly represent Vodafone UK when interfacing with senior stakeholders up to GMT.
- Strong communication skills, able to clearly translate technical concepts for senior, non-technical audience.
- Balanced thinker and able to bring teams together to resolve issues that are at the highest escalation levels ( being able to make sound judgements /interpretations with sometimes ambiguous information.
- Previous experience of integrating HRIS systems advantageous.
