OSS Engineer (Network Data Specialist)

Your place in the team 

•Meet local business needs in the OSS services, both in the mobile and fixed domains
•Identify, design, and implement innovative solutions in the OSS domain to meet network organization requirements or technological advances.
•Coordinate and manage vendor activities during project implementation.
•Grant the testing process to ensure the right quality at the delivery stage, delivering high-quality products and solutions.
•Design and support OSS service features and platform evolution, serving existing business technology solutions with continuously increasing quality
•Provide OSS performance management functions to support the architecture and scaling tasks of the business areas
•Design, test and implement network/service data collection and monitoring systems for the customer facing services. 

You will be involved in the following tasks  
•Design and implement solutions, including: 
    -Feasibility to determine cost and timeframe: conducting feasibility studies and defining solution design and integration requirements to deliver new or modified services in line with the standardisation of the OSS systems architecture.
    -Support in-house software development on internal integration platforms; preparing technology specifications
    -Manage the delivery of small and medium sized projects (local or transnational) from start to finish.
    -Certification and testing activities: conduct acceptance testing, coordination with relevant stakeholders
    -Post-deployment support
    -Selection, management and involvement of distributors 
•Contribute to the definition of the OSS service architecture and perform scaling activities (capacity planning). 
•Other BAU activities (e.g. support for the operation of existing platforms, updating documentation, etc.)


We are looking for you if you have 

•Engineering degree as Bachelor or Master or equivalent
•High level of written and spoken English and Hungarian
•Experience in managing complex and cross-functional projects
•Good understanding of network topologies and standards 
•Knowledge of Life Cycle management
•Understanding of voice and data core network data management
 
Desirable skills

•Knowledge of cloud and virtualised environments
•Knowledge of core networks
•Knowledge of mobile network 2G/3G/4G/5G
•Experiences in Network data collection & analytics

 

Advantages
•Linux skills
•Familiarity with CI/CD workflow and tooling
•Knowledge of products from major telecom vendors e.g. Nokia, Huawei
•Knowledge of telecommunications technologies, in particular:
•API integration development 
•SQL
•reporting tools
