About this Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Application Operations Analyst to join our IT function in Pune. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multicultural, international environment, supporting critical business and technical services. The individual will be responsible for enhancing service delivery through automation, managing operational requirements, and ensuring high availability and performance of Margin Assurance services. The role demands strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in IT operations.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver and enhance IT services by leveraging automation tools such as predictive analytics and bots.
  • Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to ensure operational requirements are met and technical improvements are implemented.
  • Manage escalated and complex customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause identification.
  • Maintain high availability, quality, and performance of Margin Assurance services through proactive service maintenance.
  • Restore application services efficiently and effectively in case of disruptions.
  • Build and manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet SLAs and improve IT KPIs.
  • Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of IT Service Operations processes.
  • Support production environments by resolving system downtimes and process errors.
  • Ensure performance and availability targets are consistently achieved.

Who you are

  • University degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in IT operations within multi-vendor, onshore, offshore, and nearshore environments.
  • Proficient in PL/SQL, Bash/Korn shell scripting, Unix, and SAS.
  • Skilled in programming/scripting (Python, Bash), with knowledge of GCP and Linux/UNIX operating systems.
  • Understanding of event-driven systems, schema, orchestration, mapping, and database development/operations tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug complex systems.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and well-organised.
  • Flexible to support a 24/7 operational environment, including holidays.
