About this Role
We are seeking a Release Manager to oversee and coordinate software deployments across multiple environments within the VF UK Integration project. This role is based in India (Pune, Bangalore, or Ahmedabad) and operates within the Technology VOIS (TSSI) function. The individual will be responsible for ensuring timely, secure, and quality releases that align with business goals. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams including development, QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders, and requires strong governance, communication, and process management skills.
What you will do
- Plan, track, and govern software releases across environments
- Raise Change Requests (CRQs) and maintain release dashboards
- Track dependencies and ensure quality compliance before deployment to SIT
- Monitor delivery and maintain detailed release documentation
- Ensure release security governance and compliance
- Manage production deployments and post-deployment support
- Identify and mitigate release risks and manage incidents
- Serve as the central point of contact for release-related communications
- Document release notes, deployment instructions, and rollback procedures
- Implement and improve release management processes and tools
- Monitor release metrics and KPIs for continuous improvement
Who you are
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in IT release management and telecom
- Graduate or postgraduate in a technical stream (preferably Engineering)
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to diagnose and resolve issues
- Familiarity with ITIL (preferably V3) and change management processes
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working in shift mode and rare travel scenarios
- Experience in managing complex system landscapes with end-to-end understanding
