What you’ll do:
- To be responsible of the end to end delivery cycle of the Transport (Optical and IP) Network for each involved/relevant market , starting from the technology planning into the Design (High level / Low level) and the delivery in field.
- Design, engineer and deliver business critical Optical and IP Core information systems to NSE internal customer, Vodafone Business and any other Vodafone function, ensuring network stability and enhanced customer experience.
- The Engineer in this role performs advanced analysis, defines optimal technical requirements, implements and integrates complex SW&HW systems, supports development of new software functions and performs testing and acceptance of nodes supporting both fixed & mobile customers.
- It identifies synergies, coordinate and contribute to multiple strategic projects related to above information systems, ensuring timely delivery to external clients (VF European markets).
- The engineer will also lead the delivery cycle of the above (LLD, Coordination of activities to bring the project into reality), will coordinate the Lifecycle Management of the platform and will observe and monitor resiliency, performance and capacity management of the Transport Core Network.
What knowledge and skills do we expect?
- Evolve the architecture of Transport information systems to support business transformation and market priorities
- Define and manage critical network optimization initiatives to support Optical and IP connectivity challenges raised by new projects (NFV, 5G, convergence, …)
- Define software/hardware requirements for advanced transport platforms build to deliver voice & data products to mobile and fixed
- Expert knowledge of Optical/DWDM architectures (ROADM/CDC-F-Flex Grid, OTN, etc)
- Expert knowledge of IP network architecture and technologies (MPLS VPN, TE, QoS, IPv6, etc)
- SW development background aimed to automate provisioning, performance monitoring & reporting and introduction of Software Defined Network technologies
