About this Role

We are seeking an AI-Driven Roaming Automation Engineer to support Vodafone’s global roaming ecosystem through a blend of telecommunications expertise and modern AI-driven automation. This role focuses on improving roaming service quality, driving operational efficiency through intelligent automation, supporting service launches, troubleshooting network issues, and developing AI-based solutions that enhance KPI analysis, reporting, decision-making and operational performance across 2G, 3G, LTE, 5G and VoLTE technologies.

What you’ll do

  • Develop automation solutions using Python and Java to reduce or eliminate manual operational activities.
  • Design and implement AI and Generative AI solutions to support KPI analysis, troubleshooting and operational insights.
  • Create and manage Copilot Agents and workflow automation solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Develop reporting solutions, dashboards and advanced analytics capabilities to support business decision-making.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives through intelligent automation and AI-enabled operational improvements.
  • Implement and orchestrate AI initiatives across the team, including development and management of Copilot agents and agentic workflows.
  • Monitor and manage roaming service quality across 2G, 3G, LTE, 5G and VoLTE environments.
  • Support roaming launches, IREG activities, KPI analysis, service assurance and operational governance.
  • Conduct roaming performance reviews and provide recommendations to improve customer experience and network quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, operations and business teams to deliver innovative roaming and automation solutions.

Who you are

  • 10–12 years of overall experience within telecommunications environments.
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience within the roaming domain.
  • Strong technical knowledge of roaming technologies including 2G, 3G, LTE, 5G and VoLTE.
  • Experience supporting roaming services, IREG activities, roaming testing and service launches.
  • Strong understanding of KPI analysis, troubleshooting and network performance management.
  • Practical experience working with AI, Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and Java development.
  • Knowledge of Selenium, API automation, SQL and data analytics techniques.
  • Understanding of responsible AI controls, AI supervision and workflow orchestration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
