About this Role
What you’ll do
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that improves learner retention and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify and address learning design requirements.
- Conduct instructional design research and analysis to support the adoption of effective learning models, methodologies and industry practices.
- Design learning solutions with appropriate levels of interaction, gamification and learner engagement.
- Localise learning content and recommend additional or revised delivery approaches where required.
- Serve as the first point of contact for instructional design requirements within assigned projects.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop learning content that achieves defined learning outcomes.
- Curate existing learning content and digitise materials for online hosting where appropriate.
- Support the conversion of classroom-based learning programmes into effective online learning experiences.
- Evaluate and identify suitable instructional design tools to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Contribute to strategies that strengthen digital learning adoption and online learning capability across VOIS.
- Undertake additional responsibilities aligned to the role as directed by the line manager and in accordance with business priorities and performance objectives.
Who you are
- Experience in instructional design and digital learning development, ideally gained over 3-4 years.
- Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design frameworks and adult learning principles.
- Experience working with learning authoring tools and digital content development platforms.Knowledge of at least one Learning Management System (LMS).
- Skilled in lesson planning, curriculum development and learning journey design.
- Ability to create effective storyboards and structured learning content.
- Good visual design capabilities with a focus on learner engagement and accessibility.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyse learning requirements and translate them into meaningful learning solutions.
- Qualification or professional expertise in Instructional Design, Training Design or a related field.
