About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based test automation frameworks and tools. The individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for APIs, web applications, and backend processes. This role requires a deep understanding of BDD, TDD, and agile methodologies, along with proficiency in CI/CD practices.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test cases for API, web, and backend processes.
  • Ensure timely delivery of automation milestones and regression suites.
  • Collaborate in Agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
  • Execute regression suites and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
  • Retest defect fixes and confirm closure of open defects.
  • Assist teams in creating automated tests that can run quickly and independently.
  • Update and maintain automated testing standards and procedures.
  • Create acceptance criteria in support of Product Owner requirements.
  • Highlight challenges and propose effective solutions to ensure quality delivery.

Who you are

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in automated testing and scripting using Java.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Java 17, TestNG/JUnit, and clean coding practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber, Selenium Grid, and related libraries.
  • Proficient in BDD and (A)TDD methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira Xray.
  • Skilled in SCM tools (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket) and version control using Git.
  • Experience with build management tools like Maven and CI servers such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Excellent debugging skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Knowledge of parallel execution, distributed test execution, test logging, and reporting.
  • Ability to apply design patterns and maintain structured test processes.
