About this Role

We are seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to join the AI and Data team in Pune. This role is focused on designing, implementing, and managing scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes. The individual will work closely with development, operations, and design teams to support API integrations, infrastructure automation, deployment excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong experience in AWS technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerisation, scripting, and Agile delivery practices.

What you’ll do

Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, ECS, and EKS.
Build, manage, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar technologies.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
Design, implement, and maintain API suites and integration documentation.
Demonstrate expertise across API integration and release management processes.
Collaborate with development, operations, and design teams to understand, refine, and deliver technical requirements.
Monitor application and infrastructure performance using CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, and related monitoring solutions.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and integration issues to ensure service reliability.
Implement cloud security best practices and ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and operational standards.
Prepare and maintain integration documentation, including interface specifications, configuration guides, data mappings, and technical artefacts.
Take accountability for release processes and deployment governance.
Identify process gaps within release and integration activities and recommend improvements.
Contribute actively to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
Proactively communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Who you are

Degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go.
Experience with containerisation technologies including Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
Strong understanding of Git, version control practices, and branching strategies.
Knowledge of networking, cloud security, compliance requirements, and cloud cost optimisation.
Experience with serverless architectures and AWS-native development approaches.
Practical experience working within Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
Analytical and detail-oriented approach with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
Ability to take ownership of deliverables and drive outcomes within cross-functional teams.
Experience within the telecommunications industry is advantageous.
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification is advantageous.
