About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Infrastructure & Release Specialist to manage and maintain complex Ab Initio environments, ensuring seamless operations across multiple BI platforms. This role involves supporting critical projects such as CICD pipeline implementation, DRCC programmes, and migration activities. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders to ensure infrastructure stability, security compliance, and efficient release management.
What you’ll do
- Administer and maintain Ab Initio environments including installation, configuration, patching, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot infrastructure issues in coordination with global stakeholders.
- Manage user access and permissions in line with organisational security policies.
- Lead release and version management across BI environments, ensuring future capacity planning.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and deployment teams to support project delivery.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver feedback and input to Test Automation Consultants and Quality Assurance Managers.
- Maintain version control and infrastructure planning for upcoming releases.
- Ensure alignment with ITIL processes and change management protocols.
Who you are
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Ab Initio administration.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to conduct impact analysis and root cause identification.
- Proficient in Unix and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with metadata management and Enterprise Meta>Environment (EME).
- Experience with data warehousing, batch and continuous processing.
- Knowledge of database connectivity options (Oracle, DB2, Teradata, SQL Server).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in a technical stream (Engineering preferred).
