About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Fortinet Firewall Specialist to support and manage enterprise security infrastructure within a managed services environment. The role focuses on troubleshooting, configuration, and optimisation of Fortinet-based security solutions, ensuring high service availability and adherence to SLA commitments. The individual will work within an ITIL-driven framework, contributing to change management, incident resolution, and continuous service improvement across customer environments

What you’ll do

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents within defined SLAs, ensuring minimal service disruption
  • Perform configuration, maintenance, and housekeeping of network devices, including layer 2/3 troubleshooting and upgrades
  • Plan and implement changes aligned with ITIL processes, ensuring service continuity
  • Manage vendor interactions, including fault ticketing, hardware replacements, and escalations
  • Support and review change requests, ensuring compliance with governance standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to manage complex technical changes
  • Coach and support peers by sharing knowledge, creating documentation, and delivering technical sessions
  • Continuously develop technical expertise and adapt to new technologies and tools

Who you are

  • 2–5 years of experience working with Fortinet technologies, preferably FortiGate (3700D series), FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer
  • Strong understanding of network security concepts including SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, SASE, and secure web gateways
  • Exposure to cloud and web security technologies such as Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX), 2FA, and PKI infrastructure
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in enterprise environments
  • Good understanding of application control and intrusion detection/prevention
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
  • Certifications such as FCNSA, FCNSP, NSE levels (1,2,3,6,7) are advantageous
  • Exposure to additional firewall technologies such as Check Point and Juniper is beneficial
