About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong Core Java 17 programming expertise and hands-on experience in automation framework development. The role focuses on designing, developing, maintaining and executing automated test solutions across APIs, web applications and backend processes. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous quality improvement, support CI/CD practices, participate in Agile delivery teams and help drive efficient, scalable and maintainable testing solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, maintain and enhance automation frameworks and automated test cases for API, web and backend testing.
  • Deliver automation activities in line with project timelines and testing milestones.
  • Execute regression test suites and communicate test outcomes and insights to stakeholders.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Update and enhance framework functions and reusable automation components as required.
  • Identify testing challenges, recommend practical solutions and contribute to quality improvements.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Contribute to scalable automation practices including parallel execution, distributed test execution, logging and reporting.

Who you are

  • Experienced in Core Java 17 with strong programming and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in source code management and version control tools including Git, GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket.
  • Experienced with Maven build management.
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing technologies such as Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber and Selenium Grid.
  • Familiar with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of parallel execution, distributed test execution, test logging and reporting practices.
  • Able to apply design patterns and clean coding principles to produce maintainable automation solutions.
  • Comfortable collaborating within Agile delivery environments.
