About the Role
We are seeking a skilled BI Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team in India. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of the BI Application Layer, acting as the interface between data systems and business intelligence users. The individual will be responsible for backend development, including data structure creation, data mart development, and data transformation. The role also involves supporting ETL processes, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet evolving business needs. This is a non-people manager, permanent position ideal for candidates with strong SQL and data warehousing experience.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain SQL/BTEQ scripts to support BI Application Layer.
- Design and implement changes to existing data models and relational staging areas.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve technical issues.
- Support operations teams with data quality and consistency challenges.
- Participate in demand fulfilment, service operation, and service support processes.
- Optimise system performance and support business users in system handling.
- Contribute to stabilising and refining business requirements in agile environments.
- Handle customer requirements and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Who you are
- Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, BTEQ, and UNIX/Linux environments.
- Experienced in BI and Data Warehouse development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage stakeholders.
- Familiar with tools such as GCP, ODI, Git, Control-M, and Airflow.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical teams.
- Background in telecommunications is desirable.
