About this Role

We are seeking a Cloud FinOps Engineer to support business‑as‑usual operations by enabling financial visibility, cost optimisation, and effective cloud cost governance across public cloud platforms. This role is part of the VCI‑Ops function and is based in Pune with a fixed shift of 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to ensure cloud usage aligns with financial and operational objectives, while supporting service ownership and incident management activities.

What you will do

Manage and optimise cloud costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.Use native cloud financial tools such as Cost Explorer, Billing, and Cost Management to track and analyse spend.Apply cloud pricing constructs including on‑demand, reserved instances, and savings plans to improve cost efficiency.Identify cost optimisation opportunities and support their implementation in collaboration with technical teams.Contribute to Cloud FinOps practices and governance frameworks.Support incident management processes related to cloud financial operations.Communicate insights, recommendations, and financial impacts clearly to stakeholders.

Who you are

  • An individual with hands‑on experience using AWS cloud services and pricing models.
  • Experienced in cloud cost optimisation and financial management practices.
  • Comfortable working with cloud billing and cost management tools.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and collaborative working across teams.
  • Confident in communicating complex financial and technical information clearly and constructively.
  • FinOps certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
