About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Java Engineer to design, develop and deliver scalable, high-quality cloud-native applications within a dynamic telecom environment. This role focuses on AWS-based Java development, microservices architecture, and modern CI/CD practices, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop and implement cloud-based Java Spring Boot applications aligned with business and technical requirements
- Collaborate with product owners, architects and cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide effort estimates and deliver solutions as planned
- Contribute to manual and automated build and deployment processes, including code repositories and configuration management
- Apply Continuous Delivery principles using tools such as Kubernetes, AKS and Docker
- Develop and maintain microservices-based solutions following established design patterns and architectural blueprints
- Participate in application design using UML and other modelling techniques
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment through clear communication and shared ownership
Who you are
- You have 4+ years of hands-on experience in AWS-based Java development
- You bring practical experience working in cloud-native and microservices architectures, preferably within the telecom domain
- You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- You have a solid understanding of design patterns, application architecture and system design principles
- You communicate clearly and work effectively within diverse, cross-functional teams
- You take a quality-focused, problem-solving approach to software delivery
