About this Role

We are seeking a Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and enterprise ETL tools to join VOIS. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and reliable data platforms that support analytics and business decision-making. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into high-quality, performant solutions while ensuring data integrity, reliability, and optimisation across systems.

What you’ll do

·  Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and software systems.

·  Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, analyse, and understand data requirements.

·  Implement and manage ETL processes using tools such as Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

·  Work extensively with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL.

·  Write, optimise, and maintain SQL queries for efficient data extraction and transformation.

·  Ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, and performance across data platforms.

·  Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data workflow and system issues to maintain operational stability.

 

Who you are

·  4–7 years of experience in data engineering or a closely related role.

·  Strong proficiency in GCP services, including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL.

·  Hands-on experience with enterprise ETL tools such as Ab Initio or ODI.

·  Solid knowledge of Unix and SQL, with exposure to Teradata environments.

·  Working knowledge of Python is an advantage.

·  A structured problem-solver with strong attention to detail.

·  A clear communicator who works collaboratively within diverse teams.
