About this Role

We are seeking a Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and ETL tools such as Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across enterprise platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and supporting data systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements
  • Implement ETL processes using tools such as Ab Initio or ODI
  • Work with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL
  • Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and processing
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and resolve system issues

Who you are

  • 4–7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
  • Proficient in GCP services including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Strong working knowledge of Unix and SQL/Teradata
  • Exposure to Python is an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • An effective communicator who collaborates well within cross-functional teams
