About this Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Tech VOIS D&A team for the VF DE BI Transformation project. This role involves managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring system availability, and supporting data processing workflows. You will work on Kubernetes clusters, application deployment, and security hardening while driving automation and innovation. The position is based in Pune and requires strong expertise in cloud platforms and Unix/SQL.
What you’ll do
- Monitor health checks and performance of cloud infrastructure (GCP/Azure/AWS).
- Debug and resolve issues in data processing workflows.
- Maintain Kubernetes clusters and fix pod/node issues.
- Execute and supervise AirborneRF data imports and customer notifications.
- Implement security hardening measures and manage access rights.
- Drive automation to optimise existing jobs and adhere to SLA/KPI targets.
- Handle daily batch processing and provide RFC reviews for deployments.
- Manage incidents, update Remedy tickets, and offer on-call support for P1/P2 cases.
- Support migration activities to newer platforms and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Who you are
- Essential:
- 5–6 years’ experience as a Cloud Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and hands-on experience with Unix/SQL.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.
- Desired:
- ITIL skills and Unix scripting experience.
- Behavioural:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to respond quickly to issues and proactively highlight risks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with experience in large global organisations.
