About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Delivery Lead to provide functional leadership across agile delivery teams working on Ab Initio, GCP and Python-based data platforms. This role focuses on guiding end-to-end solution delivery, supporting change management, acting as an escalation point for technical and functional issues, and ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical execution in a fast-paced data and analytics environment.

What you’ll do

  • Provide functional leadership across agile delivery teams, ensuring alignment of technical delivery with business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and onshore stakeholders to plan and execute delivery commitments
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of Ab Initio-based ETL solutions integrated with GCP services
  • Support resource planning across projects or portfolios, ensuring optimal utilisation and delivery continuity
  • Act as an escalation point for functional and technical issues, driving timely resolution
  • Manage change requests and evolving requirements across active projects
  • Mentor and guide Ab Initio developers on GCP integration patterns and modern data engineering practices
  • Lead and actively participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, iteration planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Define and promote best practices for performance optimisation, cost efficiency and scalability in GCP environments

Who you are

  • You bring 10–12 years of hands-on experience across Teradata, Ab Initio, GCP and Python
  • You have a strong background in Business Intelligence and data engineering delivery
  • You demonstrate proven experience delivering solutions using Agile and SAFe methodologies
  • You possess deep expertise in Ab Initio (Graphs, EME, Co>Op, Metadata Hub)
  • You have strong working knowledge of GCP services such as BigQuery and Dataform
  • You understand cloud data engineering principles and large-scale data platform design
  • You are confident facilitating agile ceremonies and engaging with global, onshore stakeholders
  • You communicate clearly, analyse complex systems end-to-end, and apply structured problem-solving approaches

ITIL knowledge and experience (preferably v3) is an advantage
