About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineering Specialist with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle GoldenGate replication. The individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising data integration and replication solutions across heterogeneous environments. This role requires hands-on experience in GCP services and database operations, ensuring high availability and performance of data pipelines.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement data pipelines using GCP DataFlow and Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Configure, tune, and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication setups, including heterogeneous environments.
  • Perform installation, setup, and troubleshooting of GoldenGate components.
  • Optimise replication performance and implement parallel processing strategies.
  • Carry out regular database operations and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure seamless integration and deployment on Google Cloud Platform.

Who you are

  • Strong knowledge and experience in GCP DataFlow and Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Hands-on expertise in Oracle GoldenGate installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to optimise GoldenGate replication performance and manage parallel setups.
  • Practical experience in database operations and maintenance.
  • Exposure to heterogeneous database environments and replication strategies.
    Good to have:
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, SQL, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or ODI.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, or Sybase.
