About this Role

We are seeking an experienced data and platform operations professional to support, operate, and continuously improve enterprise-scale scheduling, ETL, database, and cloud platforms. This role focuses on L2/L3 operational support, root cause analysis, and stakeholder collaboration across complex data warehouse and cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on reliability, prioritisation, and service excellence.

What you’ll do

Operate and support enterprise scheduling tools such as Control‑M and other job schedulers.
Provide L2/L3 operational support for ETL platforms including Ab Initio, SAP BODS, and Informatica.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and deep‑dive investigations across data and platform tools.
Manage broken job recovery, error handling, and proactive issue resolution.
Maintain and analyse error logs to identify patterns and improvement opportunities.
Work extensively with UNIX/Linux environments, including shell scripting.
Develop and support SQL and PL/SQL solutions across enterprise databases.
Support Teradata platforms and data warehouse environments.
Apply data warehousing and ETL best practices to ensure stability and performance.
Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise urgent and high‑impact issues effectively.
Participate in on‑call and weekend support rotations to ensure service continuity.
Contribute to DevOps and cloud‑based operational practices, including GCP and OCI environments.

Who you are

A graduate or postgraduate in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
An experienced professional with 8+ years in development and operations roles.
Strong hands‑on experience with:
Scheduling tools (minimum 5 years).
UNIX/Linux commands and shell scripting (minimum 5 years).
SQL and PL/SQL (minimum 5 years).
Teradata (minimum 3 years).
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL architectures.
Proven experience in cloud architecture and migration, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Exadata.
Knowledgeable in DevOps practices and tools, with exposure to Ansible, Jenkins, and containerisation using Docker.
Familiar with GCP operations and agile ways of working.
Certified or working towards certification in GCP and/or OCI.
A clear communicator who can work calmly under pressure and collaborate across teams.
