What you will do

Deliver strategic accounting judgement and advisory across Vodafone Group and in‑scope markets, ensuring alignment with IFRS and local GAAP policies.Support the design and operation of a central framework governing accounting decisions, including maintaining an audit‑ready repository for accounting memos and documentation.Create and maintain local GAAP policies while ensuring consistent application across markets.Partner closely with Group Financial Reporting and Market Financial Reporting teams to support timely and accurate financial statements, disclosures and management reporting.Provide functional leadership to accounting professionals, championing strong accounting, controls, revenue, cost, asset and lease accounting practices.Collaborate with Chief Accountants, auditors and VOIS teams to guide accounting treatments and provide advisory support.Contribute to strategic projects, ensuring robust accounting treatment across transformation and commercial initiatives.Offer accounting expertise for process transformation within Commercial Shared Operations.Drive digitisation and evolution of accounting principles using emerging technologies.Serve as a business partner to commercial and finance teams, identifying design options that promote effective implementation.Act as backup for the Accounting Principles & Advisory Lead.Foster proactive continuous improvement and support capability development within the finance community.

About this Role

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide strategic guidance on IFRS and local GAAP policies, support complex accounting judgements, and drive governance across markets. This role sits within a central Accounting Competence Centre and contributes directly to ensuring consistent, compliant and high‑quality financial reporting across the organisation. The individual will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, engage with auditors, influence large-scale transformation initiatives, and support a globally aligned approach to accounting principles.

Who you are

Skilled in applying IFRS and local GAAP to a wide range of commercial transactions.Experienced in guiding project teams within dynamic and complex environments, demonstrating strong functional leadership.Possess deep technical accounting expertise with strong financial acumen.Demonstrate self-leadership, resilience and situational awareness.Empathetic, collaborative and committed to inclusive interactions to drive better outcomes.Excellent communicator with the ability to present accounting judgements with clarity.Strong business partnering mindset with a focus on customer‑centred solutions.Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) and a graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related fields.Bring 8+ years’ experience in finance operations, including oversight or delivery responsibilities.Experienced in major finance transformation programmes.Skilled in IT and data analytics, with strong understanding of telecommunications industry practices.
