About this Role:

We are seeking a Data Analyst – Information Provisioning to support Business Intelligence capabilities by developing and maintaining the BI application layer. The role focuses on backend data development, including building data structures, preparing data marts, and ensuring reliable data delivery for business users. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, while supporting data consistency, optimisation, and operational excellence within a dynamic and evolving environment.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise data structures and data marts within the BI application layer\
  • Build and support ETL processes from source systems into the data warehouse
  • Create and maintain SQL/BTEQ scripts for data preparation and provisioning
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across BI systems
  • Support production environments through issue resolution, root cause analysis, and system maintenance
  • Design and implement enhancements to existing data models and staging areas
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions
  • Contribute to ongoing system optimisation, simplification, and performance improvement
  • Support business users in system usage and data interpretation
  • Participate in projects and service processes, including demand fulfilment and operational support

Who you are

  • Experienced in Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse development
  • Strong expertise in SQL, including advanced scripting (Teradata, Oracle, PostgreSQL or similar)
  • Skilled in handling large datasets and applying data transformation techniques
  • Familiar with Unix/Linux environments and basic shell scripting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative and able to work across teams and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience in telecom environments is beneficial
  • Exposure to tools such as Python, GCP, version control systems, and workflow schedulers is advantageous
