What you’ll do
- Write and debug SQL queries and PL/SQL code in GCP BigQuery.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using GCP tools like Cloud Functions, App Engine, and Cloud Run.
- Collaborate with data engineers to process large datasets using BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
- Ensure performance, security, and scalability best practices for cloud applications.
- Write unit tests and documentation to support maintainability and code quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug cloud-based applications in production environments.
- Apply agile methodologies such as SCRUM or SAFe in development cycles.
- Contribute to data warehousing initiatives and support data processing frameworks.
Who you are
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in data engineering.
- Graduate or postgraduate in a technical stream (preferably Engineering).
- Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and GCP components including BigQuery and Datafusion.
- Familiar with Python and cloud-native development practices.
- Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal English).
- Ability to proactively identify and address issues.
- Team-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
