About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler to support the Fusion-C transformation journey on AWS. This role focuses on translating business data needs into structured models, ensuring consistent product quality, and guiding local-market onboarding into VF Germany ecosystem. The individual will work closely with global teams, bridge business and technical requirements, and drive innovation across data engineering and modelling practices.

What you will do

  • Translate business data requirements into accurate and scalable data models.
  • Act as a liaison between BI Product Owners, Group IT Delivery leadership, and distributed delivery teams.
  • Assure high-quality, deployable solutions with seamless transition into operations.
  • Provide timely progress updates and facilitate efficient collaboration across virtual teams.
  • Design, test, and maintain scalable data management systems.
  • Build datasets through effective data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Integrate batch and streaming data sources to support enterprise analytics.
  • Develop prototypes, algorithms, and PoCs to validate business use cases.
  • Identify new data acquisition opportunities and innovative usage approaches.
  • Establish processes for modelling, mining, and production use.
  • Integrate emerging data management technologies and tools.
  • Partner with data architects, modellers, and IT delivery teams.
  • Develop and maintain programs in Python or Java, alongside reporting dashboards.
  • Ensure delivery teams meet expected scope, quality standards, and testing requirements.
  • Oversee smooth transition from delivery to business-as-usual operations.

Who you are

  • Possess 8–10 years of IT experience with strong grounding in data and business analysis.
  • Bring 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Modeler.
  • Proficient with industry-standard modelling tools such as Power Designer, erwin, Enterprise Architect, or ER/Studio.
  • Skilled in system integration across AD, Data, Testing, Operations, and Infrastructure.
  • Experienced in working within global, multicultural, and distributed teams.
  • Knowledgeable in Agile and Scrum practices, including JIRA; SAFe agile certification is beneficial.
  • Familiar with cloud-based solutions, ideally AWS.
  • Experienced in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing methodologies.
  • A strong communicator with problem-solving capabilities and an appetite for innovation.
