About this Role

We are seeking an Application Owner to take end-to-end accountability for applications transitioning from Shadow IT to White IT, ensuring they are secure, compliant, well-documented, and effectively operated across their full lifecycle. This role sits within IT Ops Engineering and focuses on stable operations, governance, partner coordination, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications.

What you will do

  • Own and manage applications across all lifecycle stages, from onboarding through to decommissioning.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for applications, covering both strategic direction and day-to-day operational topics.
  • Support audits and compliance activities, including ISO, security, GDPR, and SOX-related requirements.
  • Contribute to business-as-usual operations, supported by external vendors where applicable.
  • Ensure applications deliver required functionality aligned to business needs.
  • Advise on projects and capability changes, providing input on feasibility, risks, and dependencies.
  • Provide design inputs and collaborate with domain and cross-domain architects when requested.
  • Manage partner interactions and maintain clear, transparent stakeholder communication.
  • Work closely with Business Owners on demand management activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date application documentation in ALFABET.
  • Monitor application support status and initiate decommissioning analysis when appropriate.
  • Coordinate Identity and Access Management activities, including access provisioning and account reconciliation.
  • Support security assessments and broader compliance topics as required.

Who you are

  • An individual with a strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and application operations.
  • Knowledgeable in software engineering principles and tools used to design and maintain enterprise applications.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and structured problem-solving for functional and operational issues.
  • Skilled in analysing trends and performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Familiar with IT service management practices, including ITIL-based processes.
  • Aware of testing methodologies and quality assurance practices to maintain application quality.
  • Knowledgeable in security assessments, compliance topics, and SOX requirements.
  • Confident in business analysis, project coordination, and structured risk management.
  • An effective communicator with strong stakeholder and partner management capabilities.
