About this Role

We are seeking a Data & Analytics Business Analyst to work within the Data & Analytics function, supporting business and technical teams by understanding business needs, analysing data requirements and translating functional inputs into clear technical requirements for development teams. The role is based in India, is permanent, does not include people management responsibilities and requires strong experience across data analysis, SQL, data warehousing, data profiling, gap analysis, requirement elicitation and business requirements documentation.
This role is suited to someone who can understand business context, assess gaps, support technical solution design and help developers build effective data and reporting solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Own the analysis journey from understanding the problem statement through to gap analysis, solution definition and development support.
  • Act as a link between business stakeholders and solution teams by translating functional inputs into clear technical information for developers.
  • Elicit, challenge and validate data capability and reporting requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Create workable project plans and communicate progress, dependencies and requirements clearly to key stakeholders.
  • Support estimation and define technical pointers that enable developers to start and progress development activity.
  • Deliver clear, accurate requirements that support right-first-time delivery.
  • Contribute to improvements and take accountability for assigned delivery outcomes.

Who you are

  • You have strong experience in data analysis, SQL, data warehousing, data profiling, gap analysis and requirement elicitation.
  • You can clearly document business and technical requirements in a way that supports delivery teams.
  • You bring good knowledge of the Business Analysis lifecycle and experience working with databases such as Oracle, Teradata or BigQuery.
  • You have exposure to data modelling, data warehousing and Data & Analytics projects.
  • You understand requirements engineering, including how to challenge and validate data capability and reporting requirements.
  • You have experience in Agile projects, preferably using SAFe methodology.
  • You communicate clearly, manage competing priorities and work effectively with stakeholders.
  • You have telecom domain knowledge, with exposure to strategic or analytics-focused work.
  • You have practical knowledge of SQL, Oracle, Teradata and ETL tools
