Role

Role purpose:

Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for Vodacom Asset Accounting process. Key activities are Asset Creation/Changes, Capitalizations, Cost Transfers, Fixed Asset Register Review and Reporting, Performing the SOX Controls & KPI reporting and attending the local market calls.
•    FAR Ownership for the Local Market
•    Ensuring accurate & timely processing & reporting
•    Query Handling from LM as well as external auditors
•    Understanding of Capex accruals, Asset Retirement Obligations, IFRS accounting principles for Intangible and PP&E’s.
•    Performing SOX Controls of the APA process.
•    Analysing the Capex transactions and suggesting process improvements to the client.
•    Consistently achieving the KPI’s.
•    Should have sound judgement and be able to take independent decisions related to the process performance.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience 

Essential:
Accounting Degree, SAP S4 Hana, MS Office, Italian Language proficiency is a must. Should be able to work independently and take ownership of the critical tasks.


Experience:
Atleast 5 years of work experience in Asset Management process of MNC preferably in Telecom or Technology company.  
Must have technical / professional qualifications:  
•    Accounting Degree, SAP S4 Hana functional knowledge, Effective Communication Skills
