  • Lead reconciliations across bank statements, payment platforms, collection files, clearing accounts, cash-in-transit accounts and the general ledger.
  • Drive timely resolution of unmatched, duplicated, rejected, returned and aged items with appropriate ownership and supporting documentation.
  • Establish consistent standards for reconciliation frequency, ageing, review, certification, evidence retention and escalation.

Own Bank Reconciliations and Banking Operations

  • Lead end-to-end bank reconciliations across bank accounts, entities and currencies.
  • Ensure bank statements and transaction files are received completely and processed accurately through approved connectivity channels.
  • Oversee bank account postings, charges, collections, direct debits, payment returns, unidentified receipts and related accounting treatment.
  • Manage bank account administration, mandates, signatories, access governance and periodic user access reviews.
  • Collaborate with banks and internal teams to resolve statement, interface, value-date and transaction discrepancies.

Strengthen Payments, Controls and Financial Close

  • Oversee secure and timely payment processing, including file validation, approvals, release controls and accounting for payment outcomes.
  • Monitor failed, rejected, duplicate, delayed and returned payments and lead root cause resolution.
  • Lead month-end cash and banking close activities, including journal reviews, reconciliation certification, aged-item reporting and balance sheet commentary.
  • Maintain robust segregation of duties, maker-checker processes, access controls, audit trails and control evidence.

Drive FinTech and Digital Transformation

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across matching, reconciliations, exception management, reporting and bank administration.
  • Lead implementation and enhancement initiatives across Treasury Management Systems, reconciliation platforms, ERP modules, workflow solutions and payment technologies.
  • Advance API-based and host-to-host banking connectivity and straight-through processing where appropriate.
  • Apply analytics, AI-assisted matching, anomaly detection and rules-based automation to improve control effectiveness and reduce manual effort.
  • Own business requirements, process design, user acceptance testing, deployment readiness and benefit realisation activities for treasury technology initiatives.
