Deputy Manager_Oracle SOA , OSB_FMW
Who we are
About this Role
What you will do
Middleware technical operations
- Lead day-to-day technical operations across Oracle FMW, SOA Suite, OSB, AIA and WebLogic production environments.
- Investigate and resolve complex integration failures involving SOA composites, BPEL, Mediators, Adapters, OSB services, JMS/JDBC resources, web services, APIs and dependent BSS/OSS systems.
- Administer and support WebLogic domains, clusters, Admin and Managed Servers, data sources, JMS components, deployments, JVM health and runtime logs.
- Support AIA integration flows and frameworks, including end-to-end transaction tracing, orchestration, interface dependencies, error recovery and production diagnostics.
- Perform log, thread, heap/JVM, connection, socket, queue/backlog and performance analysis to identify platform and integration issues.
Incident, problem and service management
- Take ownership of the technical quality of root-cause analysis, corrective actions and known-error tracking, helping reduce recurring middleware incidents.
- Deliver agreed SLA/KPI commitments across Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request processes and highlight service risks early.
- Analyse MTTR, recurring incidents, failure patterns, backlog and availability trends to prioritise technical improvements.
- Support P1/P2 service restoration and coordinate technical activities across application, infrastructure, database, network, security and vendor teams.
Change, release and operational readiness
- Support production change and release readiness, implementation validation, rollback planning, pre/post checks and post-release stabilisation.
- Ensure new and changed middleware services are operationally ready through appropriate documentation, monitoring, runbooks, access, escalation paths and knowledge transfer.
- Help ensure middleware services meet availability, resilience, disaster-recovery and operational-readiness expectations.
Automation, observability and continual improvement
- Automate health checks, pre/post validations, recurring operational activities, queue and service checks, housekeeping and reporting using Shell, WLST, SQL and approved automation tooling.
- Improve monitoring and observability through dashboards, alert tuning, transaction monitoring and log/event correlation.
- Use AI/AIOps capabilities, where available, to support anomaly detection, event correlation, triage, root-cause isolation and knowledge-assisted resolution, with appropriate human review.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual operational effort and improve service reliability.
Governance and collaboration
- Participate in operational service reviews and provide concise technical updates covering service stability, SLA/KPI risks, P1/P2 actions, capacity, automation and the improvement backlog.
- Collaborate across middleware, application, database, infrastructure and vendor teams within the assigned service or market.
- Apply independent technical judgement to troubleshooting, service restoration, RCA and improvement activities, escalating significant service or strategic decisions through the appropriate service leadership.
