About this Role
We are seeking a skilled professional with hands-on experience in Telecom and a strong focus on Digital Route Mediation Zone. The role involves managing end-to-end solution delivery, including custom development in both real-time and batch mediation environments. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in UFDL, APL, Java, and SQL, and will be responsible for taking over and enhancing existing implementations while ensuring production stability and continuous improvement.
What you will do
- Manage knowledge transfer from the existing vendor and assume ownership of current solutions
- Oversee production deployments and ensure seamless integration of new and existing implementations
- Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve issues and bugs within the Mediation Zone
- Conduct testing for both legacy and new solutions to ensure reliability and performance
- Refactor and enhance code quality by applying best development practices
- Provide effort estimations and actively participate in the design and development lifecycle of new requirements
- Document technical and functional aspects of modules for clarity and future reference
Who you are
- Experienced in Telecom, with a specialisation in Digital Route Mediation Zone
- Proficient in real-time and batch mediation custom development
- Skilled in UFDL language for decoding/encoding ASCII, Binary, and ASN.1.0 formats
- Knowledgeable in APL, UFDL, Core Java, and SQL
- Familiar with protocols such as SFTP and TCP/IP
- Comfortable working across UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experienced with MySQL and Oracle databases
- Demonstrates enterprise architecture awareness and solution delivery capabilities
- Proactive, persistent, and adaptable to new environments
- Strong communicator and collaborative team player, capable of working independently
