Job responsibilities

Role purpose: 

The role is expected to provide SME expertise and oversee the local labour law compliance. The role will also be the point of contact for all ER related activities with specific focus on managing investigations
Role requires working with HRBPs and Legal, Corporate Security & HR Operations organization for smooth, objective & timely investigation closures;  closing opinions and ground execution of employement compliances , including of vendor partners and suppliers.
An important element for the is to zeroize any non-compliances and keep Vodafone’s side clear from any labour related legal obligations and accountabilities

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
 
Employment Compliances:

  • 100% compliance related to Organization, Employees  & Contractors (zero non compliance)
  • Execution of periodic compliance actions through HR Ops or the compliance partner as applicable
  • Monthly & Quarterly Compliance Audit  for Employees / Contractors
  • Publish monthly Compliance Dashboards & Reports
  • Monitor Compliance Vendor on regular intervals though performance matrix
  • Updation of compliance tool
  • Digital signatures/approvlas of PF, employment contracts

Employment Relations:

  • Accountable for the service delivery of the employee relations COE to quality, timing and cost targets, SLAs and KPIs; particularly in the context of all employee grievances/ speak ups
  • Drives continuous improvement in employee relations policy, practice and procedures, monitoring and responding to external best practices

Grievances/ Speak ups management:

  • Partner with Corp. Security team to ensure all HR actions with respect to investigations are closed within TAT, documented and shared with respective stakeholders
  • Own all HR action for speak-ups and investigations

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Background in HR compliance and employee relations
  • Prior experience in managing HR compliance in a MNC environment
  • Strong knowledge of local labour laws and amendments
  • Experience in managing and conducting investigations
