About this Role

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer with over four years of experience in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Google Cloud Platform services. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL/PLSQL capabilities, a solid understanding of data warehousing, and hands-on experience with tools such as BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataform, and Pub/Sub. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions and drive performance optimisation across data workflows.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver robust solutions.
  • Implement data integration solutions to ingest, process, and store structured and unstructured data.
  • Optimise and tune data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, cleansing, and transformation.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata for analytics and reporting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Stay current with GCP technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
