About this Role

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise-grade data solutions. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with large-scale data platforms, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and enabling data-driven decision-making through reliable and high-quality data assets.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data solutions.
  • Implement data integration solutions to ingest, process, and store high volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Optimise and fine-tune data pipelines to ensure high performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, cleansing, transformation, and monitoring processes.

Who you are

  • An experienced data professional with strong hands-on expertise in GCP and cloud-based data engineering.
  • Proficient in BigQuery, data warehousing concepts, and SQL/PLSQL for complex data transformations and analysis.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and designing scalable, reliable data pipelines.
  • Skilled in collaborative working, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must-have skills and certifications:
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • BigQuery
    • Data Warehousing (DWH)
    • SQL / PLSQL
  • Good-to-have skills:
    • Python
    • Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow)
    • GCP migration experience
