Job Description:
As the General Manager, you will lead and drive the talent acquisition function for India, designing and delivering strategies aligned with VOIS and HR objectives. Your role involves ensuring recruitment delivery, meet demand, SLAs, and key priorities such as candidate experience and diversity. You will collaborate closely with HRBPs, HR Operations, and the Rewards COE to ensure smooth execution of processes. Additionally, you will evaluate and implement best-in-class recruitment practices to minimize hiring TAT and costs while maximizing quality and maintain ongoing market intelligence to refine talent acquisition strategies and plans.
Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition (TA) Strategy:
- Develop comprehensive talent acquisition strategies tailored to the specific needs of the assigned region in alignment with global TA strategy.
- Ensure that recruitment processes are efficient and effective, meeting the demand for talent, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and addressing key priorities such as diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with other HR & TA teams such as Employer Branding, TA Sourcing CoE, HR, Total Rewards, Leadership Hiring, Youth Hiring, and Internal Hiring teams to ensure cohesive and integrated talent acquisition strategies. Work closely with these teams to align efforts, share insights, and leverage synergies for optimal recruitment outcomes.
Regional Leadership:
- Represent the region in Talent Acquisition Leadership Team (TALT), Human Resources Leadership Team (HRLT), and other forums by providing insights and educating stakeholders about regional nuances.
- Advocate for the region's unique needs and challenges, ensuring that regional perspectives are considered in global strategies and decisions.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and showcase region’s best practices to enhance overall organizational effectiveness.
Team Management and Mentorship:
- Manage team leaders and other direct and dotted line reports, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative team environment by actively engaging with team members, understanding their needs and concerns, and implementing strategies to enhance team cohesion and morale. Encourage open communication, recognize achievements, and promote professional development to ensure a motivated and high-performing team.
- Be a dotted line Manager for other TA teams with in the region (e.g, Sourcing lead, TABP- leadership hiring, Youth Hiring Specialist, TABP-Internal Hiring etc.)
- During periods of heavy workload, the TA Leader may be required to step up and cover operational tasks typically handled by the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations inside Talent Acquisition department.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with senior regional business leaders to understand their talent needs and ensure alignment between TA strategies and business objectives.
- Align TA strategies with the broader business goals, ensuring that recruitment efforts support the company's strategic direction.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including HR Business Partners and external suppliers, to foster collaboration and ensure smooth recruitment processes.
Performance Management and Metrics:
- Monitor the performance of the TA team, tracking regional metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that the team's performance aligns with regional and global goals, making adjustments as necessary to meet targets.
- Design and implement customized interventions to enhance the candidate experience, ensuring that it is best-in-class and reflective of the company's values.
Innovation and Technology:
- Identify opportunities for improvement in TA practices, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Implement new technologies and innovative practices in alignment with TA CoE at the India level to streamline recruitment processes and enhance efficiency.
Candidate Experience Excellence:
- Ensure that candidates have a positive experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding.
- Design and roll out customized interventions aimed at improving candidate experience, such as personalized communication, efficient interview scheduling, and timely feedback.
- Monitor candidate feedback and make continuous improvements to ensure the experience remains best-in-class.
Budget and Compliance:
- Manage the TA budget for the region, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support recruitment efforts.
- Ensure that the recruitment process adheres to legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance and governance standards.
- Drive initiatives to improve compliance and governance, such as regular audits and training for the TA team.
- Owns regional budget allocated for various talent acquisition initiatives
- Manages spend of budgets allocated for talent acquisition across service lines and functions
Required Experience:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in the areas of Talent Acquisition (experience in Tech industry is preferred) with atleast 3 years of being manager of managers/ Team leads.
- Experience of leading TA in a growing organisation with a diverse set of business lines
- Ability to understand the business and service delivery model and define the resourcing strategy
- Data driven approach
- Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, negotiation skills and influencing skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Post-graduation /MBA in HR is preferred
