About this Role

We are seeking a customer-focused LCM Customer CPE Engineer to support the delivery of lifecycle management mitigation actions across the UK customer CPE estate. This role sits within Enterprise Connectivity Services and focuses on ensuring vulnerabilities, end-of-life risks, and configuration standards are addressed across WAN and LAN environments. The individual will work in a highly collaborative, fast-changing environment that requires flexibility, strong planning, and effective coordination across technical and operational teams

What you will do

  • Deliver in-scope lifecycle management mitigation activities across customer NTE/CPE estates.
  • Perform IOS patching, configuration management, vulnerability remediation, and end-of-life management activities on WAN and LAN devices.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Methods of Procedure (MOPs), providing feedback to technical authorities.
  • Contribute to service reliability, service quality, and overall technical delivery performance in line with customer and business objectives.
  • Participate in LWI activities and process reviews, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and automation.
  • Proactively prioritise and manage workload, driving tasks through to completion.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current technologies, products, processes, and operational practices.
  • Document troubleshooting activities clearly and accurately, ensuring issues and resolutions are captured to a detailed standard.
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional virtual teams, including participation in shift working where required.

Who you are

  • An individual with experience in IOS patching, remote device upgrades, configuration management, vulnerability management, and end-of-life activities across customer CPE/NTE environments.
  • Confident working with IP networking technologies, ideally within Cisco, Juniper, and ADVA environments.
  • A logical and structured problem-solver, able to absorb information quickly and extract key details through effective questioning.
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to understand critical success factors for delivery and service outcomes.
  • An effective communicator, comfortable producing clear written documentation and engaging verbally with a range of stakeholders.
  • Organised and proactive, with strong task planning skills and confidence using MS Office tools.
  • Qualified to an industry-recognised associate-level certification, with a sound understanding of data network topologies and principles.
