About this Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in managing lease accounting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS 16, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting or audit, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for data-driven decision-making. Experience with SAP RE-FX and exposure to cross-functional projects will be highly valued.

What you will do

  • Extract and analyse relevant data from SAP to identify anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review and approve lease contract creations and modifications in SAP.
  • Conduct variance analysis between REFX and GL balances of ROU and Lease liabilities.
  • Reconcile complex accounts and proactively enhance processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of accounting records and monthly close activities.
  • Simplify and automate Business as Usual (BAU) processes.
  • Identify process risks and define effective controls.
  • Perform quality reviews of large datasets and implement necessary corrections.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects to represent accounting requirements and ensure successful implementation.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4–6 years of experience in accounting or audit.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CPA, or ACCA preferred.
  • Prior experience in Big 4 audit firms is an added advantage.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and IFRS 16.
  • Proficient in SAP RE-FX module (preferred).
  • Skilled in journal entries and general ledger variance analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communicator with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and Power Automate is a plus.
