About this Role
What you will do
- Design and deliver MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and dossiers.
- Build and maintain the MicroStrategy semantic layer (facts, attributes, metrics, hierarchies).
- Develop complex metrics, prompts, and filters.
- Write, tune, and optimise advanced SQL queries.
- Optimise performance using aggregates, VLDB properties, and caching techniques.
- Work with GCP BigQuery for large-scale data analysis and query optimisation.
- Implement and manage row-level and object-level security.
- Collaborate with business, data engineering, and cloud teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure data accuracy and performance.
- Support MicroStrategy administration tasks including user and role management, object security, and access controls.
- Assist with deployment and migration of MicroStrategy objects across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod) using packages.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
Who you are
- 6–10 years of hands-on MicroStrategy development experience.
- Strong expertise in MicroStrategy Developer, Workstation, and Library.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience handling large and complex datasets.
- Hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
- Proven experience in performance tuning and optimisation.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related STEM field.
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing); Italian language skills preferred.
- Knowledge of Cloud Data Architecture for Data Warehousing and Agile methodology is an advantage.
