About this Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to assess, design, and deliver scalable cloud-based data warehouse and analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role focuses on hands-on data architecture and advanced data modelling, including Data Vault 2.0, to support both Local Market and Group analytics use cases. As an individual contributor, the role requires strong technical ownership, analytical thinking, and effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders across geographies.

What you will do

Lead source system analysis and data profiling, evaluating structures, data quality, volumes, and transformation requirements.
Design, own, and evolve target-state data warehouse and analytics architectures on GCP.
Define, implement, and maintain enterprise-aligned data models, including Data Vault 2.0, dimensional, and reporting models.
Translate analytical insights into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
Take ownership of solution design decisions within scope, ensuring alignment with Enterprise and Lead Data Architects.
Produce and maintain data mappings, architecture designs, and impact analysis documentation.
Support delivery teams through design clarifications, defect analysis, and ongoing architectural guidance.

Who you are

An experienced data architecture professional with strong hands-on expertise in data warehousing and analytics.
Highly proficient in Data Vault 2.0 concepts, including Hubs, Links, Satellites, and Business Vault.
Confident using SQL for data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and analytical purposes.
Experienced in dimensional modelling for business intelligence and reporting layers.
Knowledgeable in modern cloud data warehousing patterns, ideally within GCP environments.
Practised in designing and implementing BigQuery-based analytical and warehouse solutions.
Comfortable communicating complex data and architecture concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Typically brings extensive experience delivering end-to-end data warehouse solutions within large-scale, complex data and analytics transformation programmes.
Holds a graduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Applications; relevant cloud or architecture certifications are advantageous.
