About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle BRM Billing Operations professional to take ownership of L2 application operations for Oracle Billing and Revenue Management services. This role is focused on ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of critical telecom billing platforms, including rating, charging, bill-cycle execution, invoicing, payments, collections and revenue-assurance processes. The successful candidate will drive service excellence through operational troubleshooting, incident recovery, automation, reconciliation, proactive monitoring and continual service improvement while working closely with cross-functional technology and business teams.
What you will do
- Own the day-to-day operational health, availability, performance and supportability of Oracle BRM billing services.
- Act as the L2 technical escalation point for rating, charging, billing, invoicing, payments, adjustments, discounts, collections and dunning-related issues.
- Troubleshoot Oracle BRM processes, utilities, opcodes, batch jobs, interfaces, pipelines, queues and database-related operational issues.
- Analyse application, database, middleware and operating system logs and coordinate service recovery activities.
- Coordinate billing calendars, pre-bill checks, bill-run execution, invoice generation, post-bill validation and exception management.
- Monitor CDR and event processing, recycle management, failed billing activities and downstream system integrations.
- Perform reconciliations across CRM, mediation, middleware, BRM, invoicing, payment and reporting platforms.
- Identify and help remediate charging anomalies, billing discrepancies and revenue-leakage risks.
- Lead technical investigations and restoration activities for critical incidents and service disruptions.
- Drive root cause analysis, known-error management and preventative improvement initiatives.
- Manage Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request activities using ITIL-aligned practices.
- Automate operational activities including health checks, reconciliations, reporting, alerting and service requests through scripting and approved tools.
- Apply AI and AIOps capabilities to improve anomaly detection, incident triage, log analysis, knowledge retrieval and operational efficiency.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, recovery procedures and audit evidence.
- Support service readiness activities and mentor team members on Oracle BRM operations and troubleshooting best practices.
Who you are
- Experienced in Telecom IT, BSS or enterprise application support with significant hands-on Oracle BRM production support expertise.
- Strong understanding of telecom billing, rating, charging, invoicing, payments, adjustments, collections, taxation and dunning processes.
- Skilled in Oracle BRM architecture, administration, billing utilities and production troubleshooting.
- Experienced in bill-run execution, reconciliation, revenue assurance and operational controls.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux operations, Shell scripting and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
- Familiar with CRM, mediation, middleware, payment and reporting system integrations.
- Knowledgeable in application monitoring, observability and performance management tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana, Datadog, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana or similar platforms.
- Experienced in Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request management within SLA-driven environments.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to work collaboratively across technical teams, vendors and operational stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience. ITIL and Oracle BRM certifications are advantageous.
