About this Role
We are seeking an experienced application operations professional to deliver stable, secure and high-performing IT services across critical fixed network systems. This role focuses on end-to-end application operations for OPM, ZAR and Service Bus platforms within a production environment, working closely with onsite colleagues to ensure service continuity, optimisation and operational excellence.
What you will do
- Provide end-to-end application operations support for OPM, ZAR, SBUS, BAW and BPM platforms in a live production environment.
- Manage and support IBM MQ, BAW and BPM components, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems using MQ MON tools and related monitoring solutions.
- Support Java-based applications deployed on WebLogic and Tomcat environments.
- Perform advanced Oracle SQL analysis, performance tuning and optimisation.
- Manage and support web services integrations using SOAP and REST methodologies.
- Contribute to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) based integrations and Service Bus operations.
- Support Unix-based systems, including shell scripting and AIX administration activities.
- Contribute to cloud and containerised environments, including AWS and Kubernetes administration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, reduce operational risk and improve system stability.
Who you are
- An experienced application operations professional with 8–11 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong expertise in IBM MQ, BAW, BPM and Service Bus management.
- Proven experience working within SOA-based enterprise environments.
- Knowledgeable in telecom domains, particularly order management and number management systems.
- Confident working with Java, Unix, Oracle SQL, web services and middleware technologies.
- A collaborative problem-solver with a structured approach to operational excellence.
- Holds a Bachelor of Technology or equivalent qualification.
