Role Purpose

Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable Azure networking solutions, ensuring high availability and compliance for European-wide internal Vodafone applications and customers. The role involves designing, planning, and implementing Azure Cloud infrastructure to support mission-critical services, optimizing and transforming legacy IT environments into cloud-ready solutions, and providing advanced operations support (level 2/3 incident and problem management).

Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership

Manage project-driven integration and daily administration of Azure cloud solutions.Develop prototypes, design, and build modules for Azure Cloud Platforms using agile cycles.Conduct peer reviews and maintain coding standards.Drive automation with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).Lead automation and integration for Azure and tenant workloads.Build and deploy Azure infrastructure using Terraform; automate tasks with Bash/Python.Provide consultancy for migrating on-premises applications to Azure Public Cloud.Design and deploy hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway).Train and develop Azure expertise within the organization.Troubleshoot cloud network, storage, and performance issues.Support DevOps culture and methodologies.

Core Competencies, Knowledge & Experience

Deep knowledge of Azure networking and related components.Expertise in Azure Networking, Hybrid Connectivity, and DevOps (Terraform, CI/CD).Identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID).Automation and scripting (Bash, Python) for provisioning and monitoring.Strong troubleshooting for cloud network, storage, and performance.Hands-on with Compute, Storage, Networking in Azure.Proficiency in Git, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Experience with enterprise ticketing tools, Kanban workflows.Broad cloud technology, network, security, and platform expertise (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).Good documentation and communication skills.Degree in IT (any), 3 years in cloud computing or 5 years in enterprise IT.Understanding of Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, Grafana.

Must-Have Technical/Professional Qualifications

Familiarity with ITIL, SOX, and security regulations.
5 years in programming/systems analysis with agile frameworks.
Experience with DevOps in cloud environments.
Experience managing highly critical business environments.
DevOps certification preferred.
Telecom industry experience preferred.
