About this Role
We are seeking an experienced M365 Support Engineer to deliver L2/L3-level support, ensuring dependable and secure operation of Microsoft 365 environments including Defender for M365, Exchange, SharePoint Online, Azure, and related infrastructure. This role is suited for individuals with strong troubleshooting skills, a passion for automation, and hands-on experience in M365 security, compliance, configuration, and deployment.
What you will do
- Provide second- and third-level support for the M365 suite including Defender for M365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage and resolve security and compliance requests across Defender for M365 and Purview.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues escalated from L1 and L2, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of M365 services for business operations.
- Monitor system performance and proactively implement corrective measures.
- Automate application deployment in Azure using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure seamless operation and integration of M365 services.
- Document processes, best practices, and technical solutions for wider team use.
- Remain up to date with new M365 capabilities, updates, and technical advancements.
- Provide training and guidance to support teams and end users.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
Who you are
- Experienced in IT support with 8–12 years of specialised knowledge in Microsoft 365 technologies, security, and administration.
- Skilled in managing M365 environments, including security, compliance, and configuration.
- Knowledgeable in Exchange Server administration, Active Directory, and Azure Entra ID.
- Proficient with automation using Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong at diagnosing issues, solving problems, and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Able to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders with confidence.
- Experienced in ITIL concepts, configuration management, and deployment practices.
- Qualified with at least one relevant Microsoft certification.
