About this role

We are seeking an experienced Application Operations professional to provide hands-on ownership of Oracle Order and Service Management (OSM), Oracle Unified Inventory Management (UIM), and associated telecom fulfilment services. Based in Pune, this role is focused on ensuring service stability, SLA/KPI achievement, technical troubleshooting, order fulfilment continuity, inventory integrity, operational governance, automation, and continual service improvement. The role also supports the adoption of AI/AIOps capabilities to enhance observability, incident management, anomaly detection, knowledge reuse, and operational efficiency.

What you will do

Oracle OSM/UIM Technical Operations
•Provide hands-on operational support for Oracle OSM and UIM environments covering order orchestration, workflow execution, service fulfilment, inventory allocation, and service/resource lifecycle activities.
•Troubleshoot stuck or failed orders, orchestration exceptions, provisioning failures, inventory inconsistencies, and integration issues using application logs, SQL, Unix/Linux diagnostics, and operational tools.
•Analyse OSM order states, workflows, tasks, and fallout trends and coordinate approved recovery actions.
•Investigate inventory allocation, reservation, reconciliation, and data integrity issues impacting service activation and fulfilment.
•Maintain operational knowledge of WebLogic-hosted OSM/UIM services and related dependencies.
SLA, Incident, Problem and Service Reliability
•Ensure compliance with agreed service levels and operational KPIs.
•Lead technical triage and restoration activities during major incidents affecting OSM/UIM services.
•Conduct structured root cause analysis and problem management activities to reduce recurring issues and improve service reliability.
•Monitor application performance, fulfilment flows, transaction processing, inventory exceptions, and integration health.
•Support operational readiness activities, service recovery validation, and post-change health assessments.
Automation, AI/AIOps and Continual Improvement
•Automate operational activities including health checks, diagnostics, reporting, reconciliation, log analysis, and housekeeping tasks.
•Identify opportunities to automate safe and repeatable order recovery and reprocessing activities through approved controls.
•Improve monitoring effectiveness, alert quality, fault isolation, supportability, availability, and operational efficiency through observability insights.
•Contribute to AI/AIOps initiatives including anomaly detection, event correlation, incident summarisation, knowledge recommendations, and assisted order remediation.
•Maintain high-quality operational data to support continual improvement and AI-enabled operational outcomes.
•Drive measurable service improvement initiatives and track delivery through operational reviews.
Operational Governance and Stakeholder Coordination
•Participate in service reviews covering operational performance, incidents, risks, capacity, monitoring, and improvement initiatives.
•Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, known-error records, and support knowledge repositories.
•Collaborate with infrastructure, middleware, database, provisioning, networking, service management, and vendor teams.
•Support capability development through mentoring on OSM/UIM troubleshooting, monitoring, inventory diagnostics, and automation practices.
•Ensure compliance with approved change, security, audit, access, and governance requirements.

Who you are

•Extensive experience in telecom OSS and Application Operations environments with strong exposure to Oracle OSM and/or Oracle UIM.
•Hands-on experience managing order orchestration, order fallout, service fulfilment, provisioning, and inventory management issues within production environments.
•Strong working knowledge of Oracle OSM order lifecycle, workflows, decomposition, recovery, and exception handling.
•Strong operational understanding of UIM inventory allocation, reservation, reconciliation, and inventory integrity processes.
•Experience supporting Oracle WebLogic environments relevant to OSM/UIM operations.
•Good hands-on expertise in Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL for diagnostics and operational automation.
•Experience analysing application logs and performing end-to-end troubleshooting across application, middleware, database, and interface layers.
•Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Kibana, Splunk, Datadog, or Zabbix.
•Understanding of AI/AIOps concepts and the application of AI-assisted operational capabilities within controlled production environments.
•Experience in Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management within ITIL-based operations.
•Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams, service stakeholders, and external suppliers.
•Proven experience delivering operational improvements, automation initiatives, RCA activities, and SLA/KPI performance outcomes.
