Manager_Oracle SOA Suite_FMW
Who we are
About this Role
What you will do
Middleware technical operations
- Lead day-to-day technical operations for Oracle FMW, SOA Suite, OSB, AIA and WebLogic production environments.
- Troubleshoot complex integration failures involving SOA composites, BPEL, Mediators, Adapters, OSB services, JMS/JDBC resources, web services, APIs and dependent BSS/OSS systems.
- Administer WebLogic domains, clusters, Admin and Managed Servers, data sources, JMS components, deployments and JVM health.
- Support AIA integration flows, including end-to-end transaction tracing, orchestration, interface dependencies, error recovery and production diagnostics.
- Analyse logs, threads, heap/JVM behaviour, connections, sockets, queues, backlogs and performance to isolate platform and integration issues.
- Drive performance tuning, capacity checks, resiliency validation, availability checks and disaster recovery readiness.
Incident, problem and service management
- Provide technical leadership during P1/P2 incidents and coordinate service restoration across application, database, infrastructure, network and vendor teams.
- Improve RCA quality, corrective actions and known-error management to reduce recurring incidents.
- Track SLA/KPI commitments across Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request processes, escalating risks early.
- Use MTTR, repeat-incident patterns, backlog, availability and failure trends to prioritise improvements.
Change and operational readiness
- Support production changes and releases through implementation validation, rollback readiness, pre/post checks and post-release stabilisation.
- Ensure new and changed middleware services have appropriate monitoring, documentation, runbooks, access, escalation paths and knowledge transfer.
- Support middleware patching, vulnerability remediation and lifecycle activities.
Automation, observability and continual improvement
- Automate health checks, validations, queue and service checks, housekeeping and operational reporting using Shell, WLST, SQL and approved automation tooling.
- Improve dashboards, alert tuning, log/event correlation and proactive middleware monitoring.
- Apply AI/AIOps capabilities, where available, to anomaly detection, event correlation, triage, root-cause isolation and knowledge-assisted resolution, with appropriate human review.
- Reduce manual operational effort, recurring incidents and recovery time while improving reliability and supportability.
Governance and collaboration
- Provide concise technical updates during operational service reviews covering stability, SLA/KPI risks, P1/P2 actions, capacity, automation and improvement priorities.
- Collaborate with Service Management, application, database, infrastructure, security, business and vendor teams.
- Mentor support engineers and improve runbooks, knowledge articles and troubleshooting capability.
