About this Role

We are seeking a technically strong and proactive Network & Security Engineer to manage and support enterprise-grade network and security infrastructures. The individual will focus on maintaining and enhancing Forcepoint Proxy and FortiGate Firewall environments while ensuring service stability, rapid incident resolution, and robust operational performance. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, handling escalations, and contributing to improvements across network and security operations. The position is based in Pune or Bengaluru, with a preference for Bengaluru.

What you will do

  • Manage and support Forcepoint Proxy and FortiGate Firewall environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across L2–L7 layers, including packet analysis and RCA.Lead and resolve L2/L3 critical incidents, outages, and escalations.
  • Monitor network and security environments to identify improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain service stability and communicate effectively during incidents.
  • Contribute to day-to-day operational activities while promoting seamless coordination and knowledge sharing.

Who you are

  • You bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in network and security operations.
  • You have strong expertise with Forcepoint Proxy and FortiGate Firewalls, including policy management, NAT, VPNs, IPS, and UTM features.
  • You possess solid networking fundamentals, such as TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching concepts, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPNs.
  • You are confident in advanced troubleshooting, RCA, packet capture analysis, and managing high-pressure escalations.
  • You demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, Shell) is a strong advantage.Exposure to cloud networking (AWS/Azure), enterprise environments, and ITIL-based processes is desirable.
  • Certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CCNA, or CCNP are good to have.
